Welcome to Shift with Shannon, a creative coaching experience.
Engage in effective, innovative coaching to guide you through your next big shift.
What It Is
I work with people who are navigating life’s inevitable shifts. From the mountainous to the mundane, our daily lives are forever shifting. Whether you’re experiencing a career change, processing a difficult diagnosis, settling into parenthood, moving to a new home, or simply dealing with daily stressors, I can help you find a way forward. I collaborate with people who want to get their shift together by reflecting on their behaviors and examining the stories they tell themselves.
Together, we will identify practical steps to dismantle harmful beliefs, cultivate healthier habits and face life’s next chapter with curiosity, hope and — above all — joy.
People are struggling.
You are not alone.
We are all navigating change, particularly in this post-pandemic world. Those of you who are facing uncertainty and looming shifts are experiencing anxiety, dread and even apathy. You crave a way to make changes, or at least deal with them. And you know there must be a better way.
You seek effective strategies so that you can experience change in a more joyful, hopeful way. You want to be happier at work and at home, and you want to feel like a more balanced, sane and happy version of yourself. You’re ready to face your shift.
An Artful Approach
What makes working with me different? My passions. My past. My presence.
As a cancer-survivor, runner, triathlete, new-ish mom who was told she’d never have a child, partner of an epileptic, former teacher, literacy specialist and instructional coach, suffice it to say I have been through a lot. My entire adult life has been a shift, but this has helped me cultivate a unique approach.
Together we will identify the changes you face, articulate the outcomes you seek, discern practical steps to get you there, and reflect on your progress to keep you accountable. My super power is making disparate connections: we may draw on literature, art, pop culture or even your sage neighbors to navigate your shift with grace.
It’s not easy. But change is inevitable. Learning to move through challenges with poise and fluidity will serve you well, both now and during your next seismic shift. And I’ll be with you every step of the way.

Who It’s Not For
Coaching is not for everyone. If you are not prepared to take an honest look at yourself, no matter how unflattering the reflection, this is not the right time for you to engage in coaching.
Shift is NOT for you if:
you are not willing to do the work or get uncomfortable
you do not want to change your habits or disrupt your thinking patterns
you do not view investing in yourself as a worthwhile endeavor
you are coping with trauma or other mental health crises that require treatment by a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist or other mental health professional
